We have made this website to give information to people visiting Palamos by cruise ship. There is not a lot of information in other sites and some of it is misleading. We have lived here for over 20 years and love the town. We are also frequent cruisers so we know what it is like to step ashore in the morning with very scant information. The two most important things to know are that Palamos is an extremely safe town and it is possible to walk from the port easily. The town council usually supply a good bus service from the port to the town centre but in reality it is not necessary. The street you see below ends directly at the port area but your ship is docked about 250 metres out onto the quay.  |
IMPORTANT FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE DISABILITY. Palamos is a wonderful place for people who have difficulty getting around or who have to use a wheelchair. From the ship to the town and right round the bay is paved and flat. If you go up into the town centre the first 50 yards are a little uphill push but everywhere is well paved, the Carrer Major is totally pedestrianised and every zebra crossing throughout the town has a sloped kerb so you don't have to bump up and down.
